Hello all,
We have, perhaps, chosen the worst time to try to park in Valencia-Grand Prix week. However, we arrive on Thursday 21st Aug and are there for four nights.
Can anyone suggest an out-of-the-way parking place?
We are staying in the centre but don't mind having to catch a bus to where we are parked.

i think you dont have to worry. the F1 circuit is at the harbour area, not that close to the city center. Usually there's plenty of space to park here in august, even in the city center, because most locals are having their holidays away. True that there'll be more tourists on that week than usual, but I dont think they're all driving a car (rather coming by plane, etc). So i cant imagine it'll be that bad. I think you'll be able to park your car in the street. You can try in the streets between the train station and the building of Hacienda or Fnac (you'll spot them easily), not so many pay-and-display areas and your car will be safe there.
If you're attending the F1 races then there're parking areas that've been set especifically for the event. they're around the circuit and depending on your entrance gate you can choose parking in the one that suits you best.
Another thing is that you can ask your hotel whether they have parking facilities. being that you're staying in the center it is likely that they have something.

another place where you can try to park is 'pont de fusta'. thats an area around a tram stop and there're parking spots on both sides of the tram tracks that're free. if you've seen on a map where the 'serrano towers' are then you'll find the place easily. you just need to cross the old river bed to the other side and turn left after the 2nd traffic light. have a look here:

name 1 are serrano towers, pont the fusta is in almazora street. you'll cross the bridge, will pass number 17 and then turn left in the next street (pintor vilar), you'll find almazora street at the end of pintor vilar.

im not sure if you know about this but just to make sure:
- you cant park in places with yellow lines
- places with blue lines are pay-and-display areas (max is 2 hours which costs 1,30 euros, minimun is 15 or 20 cents and i that's 15-20 mins)
- places with white lines: parking there is allowed and it's for free. you have to look for these ones.
