Can anyone please give the name of the best trip operator based in Alvor (is it Best Day?)

Wish to pick up a selection of leaflets offering boat trips, Lisbon, etc,

We fly out in just over 5 weeks, and 4 other friends 5 days lster so want to get all info for them before they arrive so they know whats on offer and costs etc.

You can go to Lisbon from Faro by direct bus in three hours circa. I don't know anything about boat trips in the Algarve, sorry. A VT memeber has a very rich page about Alvor; I don't recall his name perhaps...balfor?

Yes, I have read his info but its not detailed enough, we were in Alvor back in April and we were approached for 2 boat trrips with more in season, so was just wondering where I would get the info from, but thanks again for answering

Why not write a page with some useful tip about Alvor and some other places in the Algarve. I spent some days in that region and I think it's a beautiful area to spend a holiday (surely more!).

Yes I have been looking through my photos of previous holidays and trips and want to start to offer information on my home page. Alvor could indeed be the start..still open to ideas from others though.

Yes, I understood that you meant that I could provide travel tips for places I have been and I have been posting tips for others...just currently too busy to do my travel pages as planning wedding, dealing with a court case and changing jobs at the moment!!
What I meant was that I am still keen to hear of other peoples ideas for day trips before I go.

Hey, how far behind am i with this one lol, for some reason i always forget to check the message boards, I hope you found a way up to lisbon by boat and i must admit that even if i had seen it i would not have been able to answer as i have never thought about or even seen anything about oing to Lisbon on a boat. You could have booked a trip with best days (on a coach) or got the bus to portimao and got on the train, but the Boat idea certainly intrests me and i would love to know if you went on a boat from Alvor of if you had to go to Portimao or Lagos.

We went to Lagos not Lisbon on an old portugeuse sailing boat and then went into a smaller motor boat for a tour of the cliffs and caves.
I would recommend it if you go to Alvor again
