Saint Lucia Travel Forum

Hi All: My fiance and I are considering St. Lucia for our honeymoon in early February 2009. As I'm just starting to research would love any tips on hotels, activities to try, things to avoid. We're going for just one week (boo!) so would want to maximize the time we're there. Are there any places to sign up for deal alerts at hotels? Or a way to get informed of them? Thanks so much in advance!

We were married last February at the Sandals Grande and it was fantastic. You mentioned hotels so I don't know if you are interested in resorts but I would Highly recommend Sandals. If not, still try to get a hotel on the north end of the island but travel down at least one day to the south end. The land/ea tour is alot of fun(especially if you like rum punch) If you like hiking try climbing the Pitons on the sound end or Pigion Island is a much easier climb on the north end. And if you like a adrenialine rush go ziplining. Enjoy

For activities, I would suggest the ATV adventure or the volcanic mud bath. My son and I did the ATV ride, and it was a blast. Beautiful scenery. The wife and daughter did the mudbath. It was a longer trip to get there, but they thought it was worth it.
