We are going soon to Ridderkerk and I am trying to find the best public transportation from Rotterdam Centraal station. We are way to cheap-skater to use a taxi.

Not sure what waterbus you mean though (although you're crossing water), there are plenty of bridges and (metro)tunnels!

If you give a more exact address in Ridderkerk, then your travel schedule/itinerary can be more exact as well. There are many connections, one considerably easier than the other.
Generally the trip takes 40-50 minutes. Taking the right connection, you need only one changeover.
