Lago di Garda Travel Forum

In late autumn (7-9 November)I and my 17 colleagues will travel for a weekend to Lago di Garda. I just want to ask what are the main things what we have to see around the lake, we will have only one day for driving around the lake. We are driving by two minivans, we can stop where we want.

You have to visit Sirmione, once past the castle entrance you can probably walk all around it in an hour or so although I doubt you will have the time to walk to the Roman ruins (grotte di Catullo). With that and lunch somewhere and driving 160 km around the lake I think that will just about be it, although perhaps you could stop in Malcesine and Riva as well, if only for an ice cream or coffee.
You certainly won't have time for the Vittoriale at Saló.

Maz I ask how long it can take to get the cable road to the Monte Baldo and back ? is it time consuming atraction?

Most probably the funicular from Malcesine to Monte Baldo will not operate in November. If that is the case you have an other spectacular opportunity to look at te lake from above. It is just opposite of Malcesine at the Western banks of the lake. Drive up to the tiny village Tremosine. The road is very nice and at the end you are 300 m VERTICALLY above the lake.
