Game park/ Ntl park accomodation with toddler
Posted: Mon August 4, 2008 10:40 AM UTC
Does anyone know of a good game park / National park between Cape town and Port Elizabeth where you can stay in a bungalow or something similar - with a toddler, not quite 2 years old.
We are driving up the coast with a camper caravan, but would like to stay somewhere where they also offer game drives and animal watching - if possible so, that we can take our junior with us.
There aren't many where this is possible - I kinda understand, such young kids tend not to be very still for long - but there are some. I tried Kariega, but they are booked out :-(
anything else?

One place which is just past Port Elizabeth which is really great is Sibuya Game Lodge. www.sibuya.co.za While they say they dont recommend for kids under 3 years old,I am sure they will not have a problem, or at least they will provide you with names of others. All the info is on there website.

Good Luck

Maybe Addo would be able to accommodate you. It is not far from Port Elizabeth.

Addo is definitely on the list, but you can't stay in their bungalows with a small child.
Thank you both for your tips!
I hope more are coming later.

I myself am researching about SA game reserves but just yesterday I saw a travel show where they mentioned a game reserve called "kwantu" which it seems is near Port Elizabeth.
