good winter vacation spot?

Hi all,
My husband and I want to take a short 4 day vacation in january. Any suggestions for nice winter vacation spots in the US? He has a United Airlines voucher so he can fly free inside the continental u.s.
We aren't skiers so aren't looking for snow, although we're considering New York for the plays, etc. But also considering a "beachy" place where it's warmer.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated! :)

Hi,
I would suggest southern California or combine Las Vegas with Grand Canyon. Or if you don't mind the cooler weather, go for New York.

my recommendation would be central or southern florida i.e. orlando or miami. u can be on the beach, watch beautifull waterfowl and other wildlife and people from all over the world. for more info, check out pages on florida by members.

The only place in the U.S. where you can almost be 100% sure of warm weather in January is Florida. Southern California is often cool that time of year and not very good beach weather. The desert areas are fairly warm but no beach.
