Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced hotel near the airport for an overnight stay?

What is your budget?

I just checked a place I used 2 years ago, but they have been sold and raised prices (doubled!).

What about the Garden Court Holiday Inn.

Unfortunately that was the garden court. Looks like Sun Hotels bought them out and raised thier prices to over $150 a night.

They bought it from the Holiday Inn people, gotta pay for the purchase!

Two years ago we (my daughter and I) needed an overnight near the airport so I searched the Internet and found a site: bookhostels.com. We booked at Airport Backpackers, and it was only $52 Australian total for a double room with ensuite bathroom. This was a good choice. Basic, but clean and adequate. They also have free airport pickup in office hours. We were picked up and arrived to find it is a converted house only 2kms from the airport. You can help yourself to tea and coffeee and use the kitchen and Internet, and chat to fellow travellers. I would stay there again, and recommend it if you want a cheap place just for sleeping.

Sorry, may be it's too late, but i have been in the City Lodge hotel, near the airport, at around 60-70€. Good location and quite nice hotel
