We will be in Johannesburg in Oct. 2008. We would like to take a 4 day safari to Kruger, not super luxury, but with aircondtioning in room or cottage at night. Can anyone recommend a tour company? Also any tips about Kruger would be appreciated. Thanks, Sharyn

Why not drive yourself and stay overnight inside the park?

Kruger National Park Re: Kruger Park Safari - Tour Operator

we booked a guided tour through 'Journey into Africa' and were well pleased. The tour guide of course costs more, but his / her knowledge may result in seeing much moire in less time than if on your own. Guides will also have in-depth knowledge & explanation of what you're looking at. Finally, our guide's trained eye spotted MANY animals that us untrained obeservers would never have seen if driving on our own. This is only the second time we used a guide (Egypt was the first), but I recommend it.
