Indonesia How To Get From Kawah Ijen to Lovina
Posted: Wed July 30, 2008 02:43 AM UTC
Hi,

My current itinerary will take me to Kawah Ijen and then from there, I want to go to Lovina on Bali. Is this an easy journey? What's the quickest way to do it and how long will that take?

Also, is it easy to get from Yogyakarta to Bromo and then Bromo to Kawah Ijen?

Thanks for all your help so far! Everyone's responses so far have been just great!

Hi,
As far as I know, it is not difficult way to go from Yogya to bromo since the distance only is several hundred kilometer (from central java to east java province). Take a bus from Yogya bus terminal to Probolinggo terminal (may be by using DAMRI bus, 2-3 hr trip might be). from there you can easily reach Bromo using (you can ask local people there).
Hope it help you.

I wrote some things about Lovina and Bromo, which you may find useful:

Getting from Yogya to Bromo is a snap, and from Bromo to Lovina. Ijen may require you to double back to Probolingo (near Bromo), but the bus to Bali is an overnight and leaves in the evening, so you can readily make that connection.
