| Dublin | dublin mon amour Posted: Mon July 28, 2008 11:48 AM UTC
Hi, After I checked the hotel review listed on VT, I think I get a direct advice from some fellow traveller about a decent, unexpensive place to stay in dublin for a week. What exactly I am looking for is a budget hotel which offer a private room with bath inside, preferably located in dublin downtown, for $60-70 /night,
Any suggestion? Thanks in advance for your collaboration. |

What about staying in a hostel? My daughter stayed in Avalon House and liked it. $60/70 are about 40/45 Euro, not very much for a room with private bath, so you may want to check the hostels.

Have a look at www.townhouseofireland.com or www.isaacs.ie
Both offer budget accommodation in city centre locations. For accomodation and general tourism information check out www.ireland.com or www.goireland.com

excuse me but I know tour operator and hotel web sites enough, just for example ryanair site shows more convenient offers than those published on the pages you have indicated.
I would like to read the feedback of somebody who has actually been in one place which fit the description of my interest, not general suggestions.

Telling you that my daughter liked her stay there seems direct to me.

Ripley Court, http://www.ripleycourt.com/, is running an internet special. I have stayed there and found it to be very comfortable. THey include breakfast in the price of the hotel room. At the time I stayed there, there was a small Cafe just across the street from the hotel which served the most delicious stew & brown bread for an absurdly low price. The hotel is well located and is within easy walking distance of most of the Dublin sites. When I say easy, think Irish, meaning its 15 -20 minutes max in walk time to any of the major sites.
Hopefully this helps. Everyone who had replied was giving you their best help. Slan Beo, Bit
