Trat which bay / beach?
Posted: Sat October 18, 2003 04:23 PM UTC
Just curious,
Will be on Ko Chang early February. Who has been there and can recommend a certain beach / bay to stay.
What bay did you think is the most beautiful one?
Why did you choose to stay at a certain beach or why not?

you can check on my KOH CHANG travel pages for more info.

although i did not stay on KAI BAE beach, it may be recommended as the beach is nice and easy going sort of settting there with some nice locals and foreigners hangin out.

be sure to have a banana / coconut shake when you get there - see my rest. guide.

happy koh changing.

I went to Ko Chang for a week. Its a very nice island! I mostly stayed at White Sand beach. Its pretty nice and there is alot of restaurants and small bars close. When i got there we looked around for bungalows and we decided to go with White Sand bungalows. Its the first set of bungalow on the beach. You have to walk a bit to get there but its worth it because its nice and secluded. Its pretty cheap and its right on the beach! The bungalows are not super clean and new but if you want something nice and cheap its the place to go !

If you really want to escape the busy places Lonely beach is the best! We went at Tree House resort and its wonderfull! The restaurant there is really nice and its delicious. If you have any questions e-mail me! Chow

We stayed in Cookies on White sands beach. Even if you dont stay there you should sample their beach bbq -its great. Be careful when you get the ferry over . In Trat at the bus station vans offer to take you to THE pier. They will squeeze everyone into the van and take you to THE pier. You will get there and theyll tell you that youve just missed the ferry. Theyll suggest you eat, drink ,buy things in the shops before the next boat. 5 minutes before the next boat theyll tell you that THE pier is 2km down the road and offer to take you there for a small fee. I was scammed in this way along with 19 others.......... the minute you set eyes on Koh Chang this scam will seem worth it....its beautiful.

I went to Koh Mak Cococape last 2-3 months, I loved Cococape. Friendly staff, good food, nice snorkeling. You can use their WLAN for free. If you want to go snorkeling on nearby Ko Kham, just ask and they take you there with a boat. I will go back soon. Moreover, you can check in web resort directly, the staff will reply your question about resort as well. Aslo, you can look in www.kohmakcococape.com

Nice time at There!!!
