We will be staying at the Donauwalzer Hotel on Ottakringer Strasse and are looking for a traditional schnitzel/austrian restaurant close by. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks.

It is a short walk of about 10 minutes from your hotel: just walk down the "Guertel" (the very busy street infront of the hotel) to the second traffic-light, cross the street to Lazarettgasse. Walk down Lazarettgasse to #6 !

hi ;) Please go to the old Hospital called OLD "AKH" in 9th district - take Tram 44 to station "Lange Gasse" - behind the walls in front of you there are 3 restaurants in the park - for ME the best one is "Unibräu" but the others have very good austrian food too ;))

I would recommend a traditional coffee house that is also a more than decent restaurant: Cafe Hummel, Josefstädter Straße 66, corner of Albertgasse. You can simply cross the Gürtel (the busy street), walk down Alser Straße until you reach Albertgasse on your right hand side (should be 3 blocks or so), then walk up Albertgasse until you reach a charming square and Cafe Hummel to your right.
