Hi Friends

I am from India. I am going to Dubai for the first time. I want to know :

Is travel insurance compulsary in Dubai ?

Can I use my nokia handset (mobile ) in Dubai ?

Is it cheap to purchase new handset in Dubai ?

Can I carry my medicines with me ?

Is eye checking conducted at Dubai Airport ?

I will appriciate instructions from Dubai visitors.

Dubai mumbai sarkhi aahe kahi hi wegda nahi. Tumhi kasa hi yau shakta. You can use your nokia phone you dont need to bring any medicines all you get here.
No need for insurance but if u want to do go ahead.

Hi there, for 200 AED you can get a new handset in Dubai. Ahlan and Wasl services are sold inside the airport. In some cases and for some airlines they do eye scan from incoming and outgoing passengers!!

Thanks for the reply.I came to know that immegration rules have changed in Dubai from 24-7-2008. Travel insurance is compulsary. Is it true ?
Which are the best places to visit ? Which is the best mode of transport ? Bus or Taxi ?

Yes laws are changed, check with travel agents for the new laws!! At the moment the best and fastest mode of transport is Taxi.
