| Singapore | entry in Singapore from Malaysia Posted: Fri July 25, 2008 06:38 PM UTC
I am vising Malaysia during last week of August and I have a plan to visit Singapore for 1-2 days. Can I go thru bus to Singapore with a valid visa or I have to travel thru air for entry from air port?
Can I then come back to Malaysia as 2nd entry? |

Buses leave from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore roughly every hour. The biggest and most reliable bus service is probably Transnasional Express, which I think has three services to Singapore per day.

You have not said what passport you are holding. You can come to Singapore by ANY method as long as you pass through an immigration checkpoint at the point of entry.
If you Google the words "Visa for Singapore" or "Visa for Malaysia" you will find your answer. http://www.mfa.gov.sg/home/idx_visaFor.html http://www.ica.gov.sg/services_centre_overview.asp http://www.imi.gov.my/eng/perkhidmatan/im_HapusVisa.asp

This is the normal process for crossing the Malaysia Singapore land border.
you clear yourself at the Johor Bahru malaysian immigration, it is usually a breeze.. then you get back on the bus and cross over to the singapore immigraion and where you clear the immigration. If you have a visa, there should be no problem. If you have a visa stamped on your passport it will be fine please check whether you need a visa to enter singapore for a few days. the process is reversed on the return journey. if you need a visa to enter malaysia, make sure it is a multiple entry or you could also get a transit visa as long as you are in Malaysia less than three days. because the crossings are so crowded most of the time and especiallyduring weekends, it is better to make sure that you have proper visas on your passports. Good Luck
