My wife and I plan to spend 2 nights in Paris in late April or very early May of 2009. This will be a side trip from our annual visit to Maastricht. We are in hopes of finding a budget price room (50-75Euro)located in the St Germain or Latin Quarter. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.

Check www.ratestogo.com. They have a great many listings for hotels in Paris, including the 5th and 6th. I know a lovely, small place but their rate is about €110 a night, so you'll do better searching for another one.

Vter Beausoleil is a very frequent traveller to Paris and I have often seen her recommend the Hotel Sorbonne in the Latin Quartier. She usually gets a good rate there. I believe it has its own website.
