I'm going to be spending a month in Geneva and my company has arranged for me to stay at Suitehotel. Does anyone have any experiences of this hotel? How do I get from there to the International area where I'll be working? Any better (cheaper, more central) suggestions of where to stay?
Also, any tips of local things to do while I'm there would be most appreciated! |

There is a city tour by bus from the lake area.If you dont want to take it,just get hold of a city map and do it by yourself at your own pace.The city has a good tram and bus system,so it shouldnt be a problem.You could walk around the lake and watch the Geneva fountain.Walk near the Rosseau statue and listen to the street music.There is a good chinese restrarant opposite the main railway station.
You could take a day trip to Montreaux. Hope you have a good stay, Vpas

Hi ScotsGirl,
You mentioned you will be in Geneva for a month. I'm going to be in Geneva for work Aug 20-21, and I'm thinking of staying through the weekend (Aug 22-24) to do some hiking - maybe take a train to Chateau d'Oex, stay at the youth hostel and do some hiking from there.
