| Alaska | Prince William Sound Cruise and Kenai Fjords Full-Day National Park Cruise Posted: Fri July 25, 2008 03:47 AM UTC
Hello,
This is my family's 1st trip to Alaska. Can someone give me ideas about these cruises: What are the differences? Which one is better? Thanks. Mike |

I haven't done the Prince William Sound Cruise but my husband and I did the Kenai Fjords Northwest Glacier tour (8 hours) in June 2008 and it was AMAZING! We also stayed a couple of nights on Fox Island and did the full day kayaking there which I thoroughly recommend as well.
On the boat tour the scenery was very beautiful and you go right into a fjord to see this amazing glacier at the end surrounded by lumps of floating ice with seals sitting on them. We saw huge lumps of ice "calving" off the glacier with a noise like thunder. We saw masses of wildlife including grey and humpback whales, killer whales (orcas), Dall porpoises, stellar sealions, harbour seals, puffins and many other sea birds. The boat we were on had about 50 people on it and it was very stable, no one was seasick. The tour runs out of Seward. Hope that helps! Karen
