| Nice | Supermarkets Posted: Thu July 24, 2008 12:11 PM UTC
I'm going to be staying in a self-catering apartment in the Cours Saleya area of Nice for a week in September, however am arriving on a Saturday evening. Is there going to be anywhere open on either the Saturday evening or Sundayb that i can get basic provisions from (bread, milk etc)and which is within walking distance? Thanks.

On Sunday mornings, the local 'boulangerie' (bakery) is usually open in France. Be it from the tiniest village (then usually called a 'depot de pain') to the cities.
On Sundays, supermarkets are also open, usually until noon.
