Basically the whole of Japan is very safe. Many of corporations are located in Roppongi so this is a district with lots of expats. In March I stayed in Roppongi for 6 nights and almost daily I only got back to the hotel after dark, and even though I was in Japan with a friend, but she was working so I was always alone. Do not worry. But of cause... stay alert.
