I am arriving to London (Heathrow) in the very end of August (27th), my first visit, and staying there 5 nights. What kind of weather could I excpect? Does anyone (probably locals do) knows how much a taxi ride is going to cost from the airport to my hotel which is located next to South Kensington Station? Thank you all.

Weather is notoriously unpredictable here, but SE England would typically have warm (say 25c) sunny weather at that time of year. Check BBC news website for 5 day predictions before you leave. Put a small umbrella in your bag, just in case.
Taxi will be very expensive - I'd guess £50+. Think about taking train - Heathrow Express - into city centre and then taxi/underground.

As the previous poster has said, weather is very unpredictable. I was there for 3 days a week ago and we had to buy an umbrella on our first day. You can see a blue sky in the morning and be greeted with dark clouds and rain in a couple of hours and to have a fine weather again in the evening. It is a must to carry your umbrella and a sweater.

OK, as far as there is not going to snow, I will survive :)
