| Athens | Is 4 hrs enough at Athens airport between flights? Posted: Thu July 24, 2008 05:18 AM UTC
Hi,
My wife and I would be reaching Athens from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines flight at 9.30am in June 2009. We need to catch the Olympic Airlines flight to Paros at 13.40pm. We are Indians and we will be carrying our Greece visas. So, will 4 hrs be enough to get our visa's stamped and travel from International terminal to Domestic terminal? Are they far away and how are the Greek Immigration counters... efficient or slow? What about delays in flights? Are flights usually on time in June? I'm asking all these questions because if it is not sufficient then we can book a later flight at 15.30pm. Regards and thanks, Nitin |

I would have thought that four hours would be more than enough time between flights. It's not a large airport and seems to work efficiently. If you google Athens Airport, then you will be able to access a plan of the airport.

Even considering that the Olympic flight WON'T be delayed (but most probably it will...), 4 hours are more than enough. ATH is very easy going. As soon as you get your luggage and pass thru customs, go to the upper floor, find the counters and check-in for the Paros flight (any Olympic counter will do).
