| Ho Chi Minh City | Visa advice for Vietnam Posted: Wed July 23, 2008 07:42 PM UTC
We are going to Saigon December 18th and then onto Cebu PI the 23rd. We come back to Saigon on Jan 14th. Our round trip tickets are from Atl to Saigon and back, so we have to enter the country two times plus I would like to take a bus to Cambodia, so we will need tourist multi entry fro 30 days. What is the best method of getting our visas? We have to get the visas before we leave?
What is the smartest and safest way to purchase visas? Thanks |

I would suggest the best way is to contact the Vietnamese Embassy in your country. We forwarded our passports, a visa application form (downloaded from the internet), self-addressed envelope and the required fee to the Vietnamese Embassy. We had our passports with entry visas back within about a week.

There is also a company called PassportsPlus based in Tx (and probably several others like it) that will take care of all your visa needs. They were great for me for my Vietnam and Cambodia visas. Either way, I would definitely suggest getting the visas before you go.

You just need a visa for Vietnam (Cambodia issues on arrival), although you can arrange a Visa-on-arrival through travel companies here. If you have the time contact the nearest embassy and get a six month multientry, isn't too difficult
