stayn at hotel dynasty,jalan ipoh..wud like to go to genting for a day..just wondering whether to take a taxi from the hotel to genting..where wil it drop me-at the skyway station or take me fully up there..takn cable car is a necessity??hw much will it cost me approx..
or to take a bus from putra lrt..hav a 3 yr old kid with me..wont it b a hassle taknstar lrt first to reach putra lrt n thn go to the putra station..
am all confused..once i reach genting hw do i cum bak..
wil the same cab wait up for me or hav to take the bus to come back to kul..
can u pls b a gud samaritian n explain the entire process frm kl to genting n thn back to me..

Hi,
The best thing would be to go to K.L.Sentral station and buy a package ticket.This ticket is sold at K.L.Sentral at a counter to which anyone would guide you,once you reach the station.This is cheaper than the tickets sold by travel agents and tour operators.This ticket entitles you for
1.a bus/cable car ride to Genting(depending on which you buy)The cable is better.you could take it one way or return(in your case return would be better,since you plan on coming back the same day)You also have the option of one way cable and other way back by bus.
2.basic rides are free.
You will have to pay extra for the other exciting rides or to enter the casino or night club.
Food is a bit expensive there and not much vegetarian options.there are however many burger joints and other fast food places in plenty.
You can find out the time of the return bus(there are many,but chose a specified time,to avoid confusion) and get back to the base bus station.
Genting is great fun especially if you are going with kids.

u can follow the previous post but if u need another option,,from ur hotel u can go to Pekeliling Bus Station (near the Titiwangsa Star Lrt Station)...at pekeliling have many bus to genting,,,when u arrive at genting bus station just take cable car,,,if want going back just go to genting bus station bcoz have many trip to downtown kuala lumpur,,,
