| Paris | Buying tickets in advance for d'Orsay museum Posted: Wed July 23, 2008 01:21 PM UTC
Does anyone know how much tickets for the D'Orsay museum cost if you buy them from the museum the day before visiting?
Thanks for any info! |

Last time I was in Paris the ticket for d'Orsay was 8 Euros.
But I sugest better offer. You can buy ticket for 1,3 or 5 days for all museums in Paris and nearly all attractions excluding Eifel Tower and Arc the Triumphe. For one day is 18euros and 3 days is 35euros. With that ticket you do not have to wait in a que specialy in Louvre or d'Orsay!!! You just enter in the fast lane! You can get the ticket in any underground station or ask in a TABAK (newspaper and cigarets)shop also local tourist info office will have it on sale. happy travels, Macedonian P.S. nearly all of the museums in Paris are free the first sunday in the month.

It is still 8 euros for admission. Before you buy a pass for all the museums, check the official Paris Pass web site and compare prices. If you are not planning to attend a lot of museums or wish to space out your museum visits, the pass is not a good idea. It may be used only on consecutive days so it depends on your personal schedule. Sometimes we get one and sometimes we don't.
The pass web site is http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/home.php and it will give you all the prices so you can decide if you are going to save money or not. You will skip the entrance lines at the Louvre and d'Orsay but you still have to go through Security. Ticket lines are not long, just security lines! They no longer sell the Museum Pass at the Metro stations but you can get one at any of the 60 museums covered, at any FNAC store and at all the tourist bureaus. Have a great trip!
