why is this considered the worst way to get to bacau? is it not only a couple of hours?

Considered "the worst" by who ?

The train is a very good way to travel between Bucharest and Bacau, it's reasonably fast (takes about 4 1/2 hours to get to Bacau) and if you use the more expensive Rapid and Intercity type trains it's also quite comfortable.

The worst way to do this trip is in fact to do it by using a "maxi taxi" (a sort of minibus).

some one had posted on this post that from bucharest to bacau is apparently bad for trains?


thanks for the advice,,i will definately get the train from buc, do you know if its the same transport on sundays? and perhaps an average cost from budapest to bucaresti and bucaresti to bacau?

in this sunday for examplu there is 8 fast trains:

3 INTER CITY TRAINS 64.5 lei 2 class vagon one way

3 RAPID TRAINS 59 lei 2 class vagon one way

2 ACCELERAT TRAINS 43.8 lei 2 class vagon one way

every 2/3 hours you can see on www.infofer.ro [bucuresti nord]
