By bus, by train, by air? From which part of Malaysia?

This forum has sadly decayed into one where travellers exchange useful information, to one where newbies treat others like out-of-work travel agents. Worse still, this noob has no clue how he wants to go.

Depending on your location it's really quite simple. If you're travelling by road it's just a couple of minutes over the causeway from the Straits of Johor. Other than visa fees I don't recall there being a toll. Otherwise take a train or there are cheap flights from most destinations as regular as buses.
