Hi,
Am planning for a 4 day trip to Hong Kong in late August. I'm thinking of doing a day trip to China and I came across this one:

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular tour and/or have any feedback.

Also are there other locations that one can do outside of Hong Kong as a day trip? I'm also considering Macau for a day trip. Any thoughts on which would be better between Macau and Guangzhou? Please share..

I WAS I HONG KONG 2 YEARS AGO AND DID A 1 DAY TOUR FROM HK TO GUANGZHOU BOOKED WITH MY HOTEL PICK UP AT HOTEL ABOUT 6 AM BOAT/BUS TO CANTON LOOK AROUND CITY WITH LUNCH AND TRAIN BACK TO HK ABOUT 11 PM PRICE IN UK POUNDS 90£ WITH MACAU YOU CAN GET THE FERRY CROSS OVER TO MACAU YOU WILL SEE THE INFOMATION DESK AS YOU DEPT FERRY THAY WILL GIVE YOU A STREET MAP ETC...THERE IS A BUS THAT WILL TAKE YOU INTO THE CENTRE NICE TO WALK ROUND FOR A FEW HOURS REMEMBER THE BUS NUMBER TO TAKE YOU BACK TO THE FERRY ON MY 2nd TRIP LAST YEAR I HAD A PRIVATE CAR OUTSIDE SAME PLACE AS THE BUS HE TOOK ME ALL ROUND THE MAIN SIGHTS STOPING TO TAKE PHOTOS ETC ABOUT 2HOURS NOT SURE NOW ON PRICE NOT CHEAP AS IT WAS FOR MYSELF NAME LOTUS TRAVEL AGENCY DRIVER I HAD WAS MR SAM LEONG ...TEL (853)66877725 HAD A FAB TIME EACH TIME I WENT TO MACAU AND THE TRIP TO CANTON YOU SHOULD TRY TO DO BOTH IF YOU CAN IF YOU HAVE TIME ! Hi I have taken the day trip to Macau 30 years ago and enjoyed it, it is most likely much better now with Macau now having many more casinos which would have improved tourism.

As fot China we took the day tour to Guangzhou and it was an eyeopener approx 3 years ago. We went with a coy called Splendid Tours & Travel Ltd http://www.splendid.hk it was a good tour but a little to much on culture etc and not enough on actual china and everyday life. Cost for 2 persons was HK$2,460 which included visa, fast ferry to Shekou ( Shenzhen), visit the Pandas, city sightseeing, kindergarten to see children perfprm, some aged 2 and live full time in the school, parents take them out on Sunday., bus to Guangzhou and the pollution on the was astonished me. Lunch in city, unbelievable meal we did not know what we were eating, walk through a local food market, snakes, frogs, scorpions etc for sale.

We did visit an exhibition of 5 terra cotta warriors etc etc.

We enjoyed our day and would recommend you take the opportunity to visit, the memories will be vivid. We returned to HK on the train.
