Hello everyone!


I'm going to spend my vacation in Greece this year, in Afytos (or Afitos, not quite sure, i found both descriptions) and i'm a bit worried, having to arrange everything by myself. I am interested if anyone can help me with an orientating price for a taxi from Thessaloniki train station to Afytos (i have heard it's about 60 euros, 45 minutes drive - i just want to make sure). Also, just for my own peace of mind: do cab drivers talk English? Will i be able to talk to them and explain what i want? Is there a certain taxi company you would recommend?

Hey. Yes 60 euros doesn't sound about right for a 60 klm ride in Greece but i'm sure there is an other way to get there and not having to pay such an amount of money. There is a bus that u can take that takes u to afitos with no more than 20 euros. If u arrive in Thessaloniki by plane then u can take a taxi and ask him(everybody speaks english in Greece)to take u to "KTEL CHALKIDIKIS" make sure he understands right because there are two bus stations( u need to go to Chalkidikis not Macedonia) that won't take more than 8 euros for sure.
That is the bus scedual from THessaloniki to Kallithea-Afitos:
05:45, 06:45, 08:00, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 13:00, 14:15, 15:15, 16:00, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00
