| New York City | Into Which Airport Should We Fly Posted: Tue July 22, 2008 03:34 AM UTC
We are planning on going to NYC in the fall. We are trying to decide between Newark, JFK or Laguardia into which to fly.
We like to travel late in the day or early evening so I think it's going to be difficult to avoid traffic. We have to get from the airport to Central Park West. What is the best airport? And why? And how do we get from the airport to Central Park West. |

There really is not too much different between the 3. Depending on where you fly from you may only have a choice of 2.
Taxi or limo is always the easiest but there is always a shuttle or transit.

you are staying on Central Park West. This is the west side of Manhattan, just across the Hudson from New Jersey! the closest airport is definitely Newark/Liberty. as you are arriving in the early evening (Rush Hour), do NOT take a taxi. Take mass transit in the form of New Jersey Transit to New York Penn Station, which is 7 Ave & 34 St. You can also take Olympia Trails buses (look under CoachUSA), for around $15, to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. I took Olympia last month to Newark, and it was comfy and fast. This is 8th Ave & 42 St, even closer to your location. From their, depending on how much luggage you're luggin', you can take the uptown A or C, or grab a cab, which is very easy from Port Authority. Don't forget to take a round trip on the Staten Island Ferry for your Statue of Liberty photos!

The easiest way is the "supershuttle"
<www.supershuttle.com> or (800-258-3826) They will take you door to door even though it may be a bit longer since it is a shared ride. To Central Pk West -- JFK is the farthest, Newark the closest but La Guardia the lowest cost, and you canbuy a round trip ticket. You can get them in the arrivals terminal. Enjoy. losham

La Guardia, then take a cab across the Tri Borough bridge into Manhattan

i can't answer this question since you did not mention where you were flying from and how you wanted to travel into the city. is transportation cost a factor? there is very little info about poster.
