What kind of public transportation is available on São Miguel? Is it possible, for example, to visit Furnas and Terra Nostra gardens by using public transportation? I will be staying in Ponta Delgada. Thanks, nissu |

Hi,
The best advise I can give you is, once you get there try to get for a Taxi driver phone number, there´s plenty. The charge is not high and is quite difficult to get a BUS. Been there already 3 times. Br, Carlos

Use taxi or rent a car.
I have been there twice and I found that renting a car was the best way to explore the island.
