I have been hearing worrying stories about lion fish, scorpion fish etc in the shallows of the sea.
I have 2 young kids & dont want to put them in danger by accidently standing on these fish Can anyone tell me if i have worries with young kids playing & snorkelling in the shallows of the red sea round Sharm El Sheikh |

unless your children are super fast swimmers with a need to grab onto things instead of just looking at them they will not have any problems with the lion fish. They definately won't be stepping on any scorpion fish since they would probably be cutting up their feet on coral and that would be a greater concern than the fish. Please make sure your kids are well informed to look and not touch anything when swimming or snorkeling as if they do they will be killing the coral. The coral is the one that should be afraid, your kids will be safe, the coral unfortunately is getting destroyed by careless and uneducated swimmers and snorkelers.
