| Las Vegas | Best Las Vegas Nightclub? Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 01:41 PM UTC
What is the best Las Vegas Nightclub? Also, I understand there are be long queues to get in, how can you avoid this? I see online that there are tickets you can buy which seem to claim you don't have to wait in line, but I am skeptical that these are legit. Any advice? Thanks.

I went to Studio 54 at MGM Grand which was sensational. It opens at 10, so we lined up about 9, got our stamp at the door then went off to the casino for a few hours. We then headed back in at 12, showed our stamps and pretty much went straight through. Mind you, it was a week night.

I have done a number of the different clubs and the same thing that applies to popular clubs anywhere, perhaps a little more pricey. a $50 handshake with the door man will often eliminate the wait and it always helps if you bring attractive women with you. 4 guys go nowhere. 1-2 guys and 2-3 girls get in every time. If you talk to the concierge of the hotel the club is in, you may be able to grease his hand and actually get VIP passes. (This may cost you $200-500 depending on the day, time of year, holiday etc...) Clubs I loved:
Fire and Ice Studio 54 The one in treasure Island Not so hot and Pricey: Luxor Granted this is an ever changing ever evolving Vegas. What was hot yesterday is dead today. Usually, the concierge will know. The nicer the hotel the better the club. The HardRock club was recently kind of sketchy and friends almost got in fights with some of the gang bangers. One other note. Be aware that clubs stay open LATE. We just kept dancing until I suddenly noticed that the crowd around me had gone from upscale yuppies partying to hardcore druggies around 3:00am.

A good friend of mine is an event planner in Vegas and part of his business is getting people VIP access to clubs. Check out his website for more info: http://www.lvbachelorparty.com/
