How painful is it to get a visa on arrival in Dubai? My father, a Filipino, is flying on Emirates Airlines to Vienna and since we could meet up in Dubai as I am arriving from elsewhere, I thought we stay for about 48 hours in Dubai before flying to Vienna together. I read that he just needs to show his connecting (Emirates Airlines) tickets and a hotel reservation to get a visa on arrival (for a fee)- but is it that easy? I see lots of people qeueing for visa inside the airport. I'd appreciate your tips. Thank you.

Well if done in a correct way its not painful at all!!
Since your father is flying on Emirates , he is entitled to receive a visa to Dubai. Just check it with Emirates Airline in his area and they will provide all the information. Good luck.
