I am travelling to California July 27th for 3 weeks.
I wanted to know if i should book tickets online before hand or on the day? All the usuals - Alcatraz tour, Universlal Studios,etc All Tips apprieciated Thank you! |

Alcatraz most definately since you will be there in prime tourist season.

There shouldn't be any problems with getting your tickets once you're here for the theme parks. But...there will be lines to get those tickets. So, to get them online might be a better option.

Check out this website for deals in So Cal: www.citypass.com/city/socal.html. It's always better to have tix on hand before you go to avoid the long lines everywhere in California.

When I want to get a place's "official" site, I usually go to Google and search for the place's name followed by Wikipedia.
Wikipedia usually lists the official sites, as people who profit by selling tickets sometimes make their sites look very real, even what they call themselves ... so, I followed this process and came up with the site - then I looked for "planning your visit" ... here's where to get Alcatraz tickets - see the "strongly advise" part about buying ahead of time. http://www.nps.gov/alca/planyourvisit/index.htm
