Grouse Mountain - http://www.grousemountain.com/Winter/
Capilano Suspension Bridge - http://www.capbridge.com/
Vancouver Lookout - http://www.vancouverlookout.com/
Granville Island - http://www.seegranvilleisland.com/

Just some of things we will be doing in 2 months time :-)

We also have a day trip booked to Whistler where we catch a train up there & fly back to Vancouver on a floatplane.

Time will probly stop you doing that. (We have 3 days).

Cheers
Col & Sue

If you like skiing then you might want to go to Grouse Mountain for a day. Other than that with it being so close to Christmas you might just want to stick around the downtown area. If you like shopping go to Metrotown, the larges mall in BC, it is about 15 minutes by Skytrain. You might check out Granville Island, or the Art Gallery located at Georgia and Howe. There is one shopping mall, Pacific Centre located right downtown. Gastown is a bust so I would forget it. You might take a ride on the SeaBus, the fast ferry that goes across the harbour to Lonsdale Quay, nice view from the water and from the otherside. If the weather is really nice, you could go into Stanley Park, walk Robson street, the toursit rip off street of expensive shops, go over to Science World, the only thing left of our Expo from years past. It may be pretty cold in Vancouver so dress for it.

You could go on a Carol Ship around the Harbour. http://www.carolships.org/s/Home.asp

If you have kids, there is the Christmas Train in Stanley Park
http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/parks/events/brightnights/index.htm

Good restaurants get full with Christmas Parties so reservations are recommended.

There are alot of Christmas Tree decoration contests in hotel lobbies. The Sutton Place, Four Seasons and the Bayshore Inn. Thy Hyatt Hotel has a Ginger Bread House competition display by restaurants and school children.

Robson Street has Warm Chestnut vendors and many lights and shoppers.

Umbrellas are very necessary at this time of year. They are inexpensive to buy and you won`t need to pack one.

Hi Plenty to see, Gas town is an easy walk , just down near the cruise boat terminal. Also whilst in the area you could get the ferry over to North Vancouver and take the bus up to Grouse Mountain, only go on a clear day, you will get fantastic view, cable car ride and it is a theme park as well.

There is Stanley park, down the end of Robson Street, a free bus takes you through this park, hop on hop offand see the attractions.

Granville Island markets arenice if you like that sort of thing.

Walk the esplanade between the Cruise Terminal and Stanley park, great views.

Russ, you can view my pages for more tips, you may find something which interests you.

Good Luck,
Mike
