Day trip to Ajmer

We'd like to take a day trip to Ajmer from Jaipur. Does anyone know how long it takes to get there? What's the best way of getting there, train, bus or taxi?

there's information on every route.. the fastest would be going by car of course, but buses and trains aren't too bad either. There's luxurious buses running every 15-20 mins as a matter of fact.

Well Hunie its jus gottobe a 3hr deal by bus, which is the best thing to do if ur all of ur own, but if being accompanied then go for a rentalcab which will help u a lot to do Ajmer.

Accessebility from Jaipur has already been mentioned very well by above VTers... just wanted to add.... dont miss Pushkar which is just about 15 kms from Ajmer...

Yes, I second the above poster regarding Pushkar. Not to be missed. I would say more to do in Pushkar than in Ajmer.....

There are two ways if you travelling on budget than there are buses from govt. Depot of Roadways every 15 Minutes and if you are a group and want more comfort than a cab will be perfect.

The highways run from Jaipur to Ajmer is 125Km and average time to reach here is 2.5 Hrs to 3 Hrs.
