| Munich | Hotels in Munich Sept. 12-16, 2008 Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 01:11 AM UTC
Hello!
My husband and I will be in Munich September 12-16. We are looking for a place to stay during this time. It does not necessarily have to be a hotel; an apartment or hostel would be fine as well. However, there are some things that are not negotiable: 1. Price: It cannot be more than $100 USD per night, and we would like to keep it under $85 USD per night, if at all possible. 2. Location: It needs to be close to the city center and close to public transportation. 3. Rooms: We will need a double bedroom with a private bathroom that includes a shower and a toilet. I know this is a lot to ask, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Happy travels! Lisa |

So you're looking for under 63 euro, preferably under 53 euro.
Here's a start of where you can look: http://www.muenchen.de/Tourismus/Accommodation_Hot Another very useful one is www.viamichelin.co.uk. Select Germany, type Munich, then you get a map plus a list of hotels (select all kinds of accommdation, including pensions, B&B). Sort the list by distance or price (as calculated from the center of Munich). I see there are plenty of options in your price range.

Hiya,
on www.hrs.de you can find great deals for hotels in Germany (and elsewhere). I just checked, for the time from 12-16 September there's a few hotels and B&Bs in Schwabing (city centre) available for around 70 EUR. If that's too much (nobody how the exchange rate to the Dollar will be in September) there's a great hostel next to the main station. It's called Wombat's and it's brand new and very clean and fancy for a hostel. I stayed in a double room in their hostel in Vienna and loved it.The Munich one only opened afterwards so I bet it's even better. Their website is http://www.wombats-hostels.com. You might be lucky to still get a double room, you are in Munich shortly before Oktoberfest starts so I guess the city will be packed already! Good luck! If you have any more questions don't hesitate to give me a shout. Sabs
