City of Manila Intramuros and Mall Questions
Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 12:39 AM UTC
Hi, I'm flying in 2 days' time.

1) What is the best time of the day to tour Intramuros? Morning or afternoon? Are there any guided tours that I can go on? Can I go on one once I get there?

2) What is the best mall in Manila? Can anyone give me some brief info of each of the following malls (Mall of Asia, Ayala, Greenhills)?

3) I would like to ask this question once again: can anyone recommend some special attractions? I mean places that are less touristy but are still worth visiting.

Thanks
CHLam

in the morning you can visit the manila museum and the best time to be in intramuros is afternoon, you can visit first the fort santiago and stay there for a while then after that tour around intramuros at night since there are nice place to eat and stay there...you can ride a kalesa to tour around intramuros, its just a small place so the tour is not really long...there are some live band in intramuros...i suggest that you also visit the newly open manila ocean park located in luneta...Mall of Asia is the best Mall i suggest you go there afternoon so you can see the sunset at the bay, at the back of the mall....Ayala is also good because its located in Makati area....Greenhills is quite good, i am living near Greenhills...i can tour you in some malls with no fee just treat me food...heheh but my free time is only saturday since im working, i will give you my # if u want me to tour you...also try LIBIS located in Quezon City if you want for bar and disco....and also try The FORT in Taguig..very nice place...just be smart in your tour around metro manila...good luck...

Winzkie, I'll be in the city for 3.5 days (leaving on Sat.). What a pity!

By the way, have you heard of San Andres Market? I think it isn't a very touristy attraction but I love going local. Can you give me some info about the market? What does it sell? Is it near the Royal Plaza Twin Towers? If I walk from Remedios Circle on foot, how long does it take? 10 mins?
