Kyoto	Meeting place to chat in English? Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 12:35 AM UTC Hi, we'll be visiting Kyoto next month and staying at Kyoto Shijo-Omiya. Is there a mmeting place i.e. park, restaurant, bars, lounges etc. where we can meet and chat with the locals in English? We always find it a joy to find out about the culture, local customs, and also get info about the place etc. and exchange ours as well. Try the Pig and Whistle pub. I've got directions on a Kyoto Tip. Very close to a subway stop and close to the center of town.

Expats hang out here. British bartenders.
