Sutera Harbour Resort is a nice hotel located in KK itself, or if you'd like a nicer place, the Nexus Karambunai resort is beautiful IMHO.

The children would love the trip to the islands. Here, the beaches are sandy, swaying palms, and lots of coloured fish in the water. They swim around you. Make sure you take a stale loaf of bread to feed them. At Manukan Island, there are reasonably priced chalets that you can stay in. They looked really nice. Its only a short trip from KK.

Hi
If you are looking to stay some were in KK check out this web site www.penthousekk.com I stayed there last May with my family it was great there is a cot, high chair and a mountain buggy push chair so no need to bring your own 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms 11/12th floor of marina court right in the centre of KK overlooking the harbor the view is to die for. There is a computer on broadband well stocked bar large LCD TV DVD player and a fully equip Kitchen and a must a good washing mechine. It is owned by a couple in New Zealand and they rent it out as a holiday home so it is not serviced daily but you can get the maid in to do a clean if you want to. It is very large so the kids had plenty of room to play in. check it out
