Ecuador About visa and luggage storage
Posted: Sun July 20, 2008 07:10 PM UTC
How does spend 6 months or 1 yr in E. as a tourist? At airport do they give you 3 months renewable or must exit the country and are they fussy?

And does anyone know of a reliable, safe and inexpensive luggage storage in Quito and Guaya?
Thanks!

It might be a fuss to renew the visa. People I met (10 years ago) quit and entered the country again without any problems. For my 4 months stay I had a visa issued by the ecuadorian embassy of my country before I started travelling. I am sure that this is the most convenient way and usually easy enough. Contact the EC embassy of your country but bear in mind that the visa-issuing-process takes some time so do not post-pone it till a few days before departure.
No idea about luggage storage.

HI, the ecuadorian law have now become very strict, you will be giving a 90 days tourist stamp once you get in, you can get out at peru border to enter again in the same year, but can only do 180 days in one year! If you OVERSTAY, you will be fine min. 200 $ but you can also run it to problems not recomended.

For storage, the airport offer a 5$ 24 hours storage room, or www.dreamkapture.com have a storage room as well.
