any help or advice would be appreciated as it our first time to egypt!!

so here goes....! a party of four of us are staying at the CRM from the 31st of august, just wondered if anyone has stayed there? read quite a lot of reviews already so know its quite nice, but wanted to know how far from Naama bay it actually is!! and if there is anything we should be aware of?? (good or bad...) oh and does anyone know what the sea view rooms are like?

secondly, are the plugs european or US style ones? my chap wanted to know for his hair straighteners, dont ask!!

thirdly, reading some reviews im not totally sure what is best to do regarding currency. do we change it in the UK, do we take sterling and change it at the hotel, take it out of a cash point or try and find a bank (being further out i think this option is probably not going to be possible for us until we venture into naama bay).

and finally...! nightlife... we are all in our mid 20's, we are going to go to pacha one night but wonder if it is worth going anywhere else?

thanks

Hi, not stayed in that hotel before, been for the last 6 years to the Coral Beach Tiran, Sharks Bay. We were about 12 km from Naama Bay and used the hotel taxis to take us there, about £9 return. Shuttle bus was free but last bus home was 8pm and it is very hot in the town at teatime.
We changed sterling at our hotel from the reception and bank machine in the lobby. Both were extremely good rates (no commission either).
Plugs are the 2 round pin type. Nightlife...we're not clubbers but loads of bars to choose from, also good meals in Hard Rock Cafe and TGI Friday. Camel Bar good night too. Try scuba diving, amazing and some hotels offer free trial runs. I am 50 and am now a PADI diver!! Camel Trip and dinner in the dessert, I loved that but not awfully comfy for the men! Boat trips great fun(about £15 for half a day) or splash out on the trip to Cairo, well worth it. Hope this has been of some help, have a great time.
