We are a group of 4 students and we would like to visit Lübeck, spend there a few hours, and then go further to Hamburg. We have semester tickets for Land Berlin-Brandenburg. Can we travel with Laender Ticket for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to Lübeck Hbf, and then to Hamburg Hbf (of course all on the same day)?

Your ticket will not be valid in Lübeck (Schleswig Holstein), nor between Lübeck and Hamburg. At the same time Hamburg - Berlin (direct route) is not served by regional trains, at least not to my knowledge. Seeing both cities on one day is barely possible, anyway.

Berlin - Lübeck on a regional train: 3 hours (Länder-Ticket will to an extend be valid)
Lübeck - Hamburg: 1 hour (McPom Länder-Ticket will not be valid)
Hamburg - Berlin: 1.5 - 2 hours (only IC and ICE trains)

Yes. The ticket covers the railroad Herrnburg - Lübeck-Travemünde Strand. Lübeck Hbf is before Travemünde Strand.

Not on the direct route.
MVT covers the railroad Schwanheide - Hamburg plus all local public transport in Hamburg (Großbereich Hamburg of the HVV).
To be covered by the MVT you would have to travel Lübeck Hbf - Herrnburg - Schwerin - Schwanheide - Hamburg. This makes no sense.

I would rather suggest a stopover in Schwerin on the way to Lübeck and spent the night in Lübeck.

Get yourself a Schleswig-Holstein Ticket. It is a bit more expensive than the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ticket but you can use all regional trains in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. It is also valid for public transport in Hamburg. You can order the ticket online.

If you don't want to return from Hamburg to Berlin the same day your itinerary makes sense.

Indeed, Schleswig-Holstein Ticket is the best solution in this case. Allows the itinerary as you had planned.
