Toronto Maple Leafs Tickets
Posted: Sun July 20, 2008 10:00 AM UTC
Hi,
After visiting Toronto in June this year I would love to come back as enjoyed my time there loads.

When I saw the Blue Jays play Chicago at the Rogers Centre the couple next to me said that for a real Canadian sporting experience nothing beats watching the Maple Leafs play Ice Hockey.

Ideally I'd like to see the first home game on October 11th vs Montreal so I went on the Leaf's website which pointed me to ticketmaster for tickets.
However ticketmaster said no tickets are available at this time (which is understandable as October is a while off yet)

My question is how long before a game takes place do tickets go on sale and how likely am i to be able to get hold of one seeing as Ice Hockey is your national sport?
I would need to book my flight pretty soon but I dont want to arrive in Toronto only to find I cant watch the game!
Clank.

If you manage to get tickets for that game please let us know how. You're talking about the biggest rivalry in sport in Canada and the first home game. The Maple Leafs games have been sold out since about 1960 so I wouldn't book my flight too soon. Other options: e-Bay, craigslist etc but be prepared to pay a huge premium.

Just thought I'd warn you before you get your plane ticket.

Hmmm yes you all do seem to have a point.

So I take it its quite pointless even trying to get a ticket for any Maple Leaf home game against any team?

My travel dates are very flexible but if tickets to all home games are like gold dust then it seems pretty pointless flying over only to be fleeced by a tout. Gutted.
