Has anybody stayed at Ince Apartments in Icmeler? What are they like? What's Icmeler like for family with teenage boy?
Any advice on cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, water parks etc welcome. Cheers. |

Hi there, we just came back from Ince apartments yesterday (25/07/08). Maybe already missed you.
Like you, we could find no info on the apartments. We arrived somewhat sceptical but found them to be very clean. Rooms were cleaned everyday by the wee old maid who turned out to be the owner. The pool area is slightly small, air con will cost you £4 per day and you can get a safety deposit box too (£40 for 2 weeks!!) A walk into Icmeler centre will take around 15 mins. There is plenty for your teenage son to do. We had 2 young kids and really struggled for activities. Taxi's are expensive and a trip to Marmaris will cost around 20 lira (£8). As for food, Deja Vu near the apartments is ok for a bite, food is available on site too. We dined either at 'Dreamboys' ask for Eric (very friendly and gives loads of free deserts, coffee etc) or at Maestro. Both were very good. You WILL get hassled by every restaurant to go in. If they hassle too much they get shut down for 3 days so say 'No Hassle' and they soon leave you alone. I highly recommend the island hopping boat trip, you spend the day on a bot and get plenty of opportunities to swim in the sea. The tour operator opposite Maestro restaurant gives buy 1 get 1 free on tours. You will have a great time, enjoy. Just do as the Ince (pronounced InJay) family say and you'll have no probs.
