I am staying at Victoria on Vancouver Island.
I have a car. I need to get from there to catch the ferry to travel onto Vancouver Airport. I must be at the Airport Desk by 4pm. Does anyone know how long the journey will / should take and what time I should book the ferry for? Thanks. |

A reservation would depend on the day you would travel. I would recommend the 11am ferry. This would give you time to return a rental car and any tunnel slow downs.

Hi We took the ferry both ways on a day trip last year, the one way journey took about 90 minutes on the ferry, however you have to include time for travel Victoria to ferry terminal at least 30 minutes and Vancouver ferry terminal to city is 40 minutes, but I do not know where the airport is as we were on the Alaska cruise ship.

the drive to the ferry from Victoria should take about 45 minutes
the ferry ride over takes 1 hour and 30 minutes from the ferry to the airport could take 45 minutes of course all these times depend on traffic and day of the week. try to book the ferry ahead of time , it cost about $15.00 extra but well worth it, I think enjoy Victoria, its lovely

Victoria to the ferry in light traffic is 45 minutes from downtown.
The ferry to Vancouver takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. In light traffic it takes 25 minutes to drive from Tsawwassen to where the airport is. You will need another 15 minutes to park and get to the desk. In heavy traffic, allow for 50% more time.
