I will be visiting the Dominican republic soon, do I take U.S. Dollars, or Pound Sterling? Please advise, Steve. |

You should bring US Dollars and convert 'em once you land.

Steve, my man, exchange some money into Dominican pesos, you know, for paying the taxi and perhaps to buy a bottle of water (or the likes). Otherwise, like the 2 posters above said, US Dollars is the best for you.
I can't remember if you've been in DR before, but be sure to have the exact money for buying the tourist card. They only accept US Dollars and it's 10US per person.
