I cannot be precise as I have not this journey for a few years but I would estimate it would be about 700THB given the current high fule charges and the fact that taxis are relatively expensive on Phuket. An aircon car usually costs the same as a tuk-tuk. There is a bus service from Patong to Phuket Town which will be much cheaper, but I do not know how frequent the service is.

There are plenty of local buses. They go along the beachfront in Patong and then turn right into Bangla Road.
I would prefer the bus to getting a taxi. The bus may be a little slower, but you do get to see a fair bit of the countryside along the way and share the journey with locals & schoolkids. And the bus is very cheap!
