one-way ticket

Hi all!

So, my sister and I fly from the US to Korea in September. We have one-way tickets. I realize that technically we aren't supposed to do that, but will we still be okay do you think?

Or, should we try to have reservations for leaving on the ferry to China?

If you are American passport holders, you will have no problems.

The books say that you will need a return ticket for your visa for China. I have seen cases where the Chinese do not follow all of their rules but I would be cautious about the China side of this.

Agreed. For Chinese Visa application, you need inbound and outbound itinerary. Korea is not as particular.

Thanks for the responses. We are actualyy Canadian. Any thoughts on that for Korea?

For China, we thought if we had proof of money in our bank acount that might work?? Thoughts?

Canadian wil not have any issues coming to Korea. Canadians are actually granted 90 day tourist visas on arrival. Americans only get 30 day.

Showing finacial funds with your application for Chinese Visa will not help. Chinese embassy requires itinerary showing dates of travel. You do not actually have to show them physical tickets, a printed itinerary from an airline, travel agent, etc. will do.
